Teaching Philosophy
As a dance educator I foster a collaborative learning environment that emphasizes personal growth through reflective practice. I teach a range of students, culturally diverse, with very different experiences regarding movement. Whether working with college students or elementary age dancers, my focus on building community in the classroom is what sets me apart as a dance educator.
I believe that dance is an empowering art that allows us to express our ideas and engage with perspectives outside of our own. Helping students expand their knowledge, find their voice, and articulate their artistic vision in movement is my passion.
